28 Apr 10 - Hello everyone! I'm glad to have been chosen as a co-monitor for this group. I plan on helping to expand (and also do a bit of trimming) to make this group a fantastic one.
Always keep in mind the submission rules, please!
The group name is, deceivingly, "Slow Water". However, this DOES NOT mean slow moving water. it means LONG EXPOSURE to slow down the crash of quickly moving water.
Still water, such as lakes, ponds, puddles, water droplets, and ice do not qualify for this group.
Thanks!

About Slow Water
Icon Of The Month is taking a little break
------------
GROUP DESCRIPTION:
What is slow water? Well, as far as this group is concerned, water is not slow at all - shutter speed is.
This group is for "long" exposure photos of/with moving water. Moving water does not have to be the main subject of the photo, but it has to be clearly visible on the photo. Whether or not exposure is long enough, is related to the speed of water in the photo. As far as shutter speed is concerned, there is no exact numerical limit when photo qualifies to the pool. Exposure time is long enough when at least part of water appears to be soft or fuzzy because of long exposure time creating that extra something to picture. Water movement and shutter speed is the thing here - no still water photos.
Group icon will be changed monthly. New group icon is selected from the group pool by the photographer of the previous icon.
Even though this is a water-related group, let’s not flood the pool - there is a one photo per day limit for posting.
Everybody loves comments, and 'cause it is nice to know how a photo was found, below you can find a html thingy that can be copy-pasted into comments
<A href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/slowwater/">Slow Water</a>
and it simply looks like this: Slow Water
