About Slide Shows - Full Screen flickr!

Thanks to tinou bao for creating a HR Slide Shows in flickr. Unfortunately Tinou Bao did not adopt his application to the separate secrets for originals used now for new uploads. So this slideshow not very useful any more. It is still used in several links in my link collections. Not all is bad though because the built in flickr slideshow got more useful. I am using it not for new links in the discussion section and converted a few of the old ones.



The large size option of Tinou's slide show I explain below is still broken. But the full screen slide show now works well enough with Opera that I don't miss the large size option too much.

Update: This slide show viewer has not yet been adapted to flickrs change in using different secrets for the original versions of the photos. Therefore the original version of newer photos can no longer be shown in this viewer. This broke a lot of slideshow links I created in flickr. You best bet is now the improved native flickr slide show.

And now here are the first two of my new high resolution slide shows of my large format flickr photos : If you want to take a look at a photo or its comments just click on the photo and the normal photo page will be opened in a new tab. This is best viewed with opera in full screen mode with a 1280x1024 monitor size.

I have impatiently waited for a high resolution slide show on flickr as long as I am a member here. Now that I have seen how one looks on Picasa Web Albums I am even more impatient. See for yourself:

Finally a decent slide show! But unfortunately on Picasa Web Albums and not on flickr. The slide show resizes automatically to use your full window size.

Just add a link to a search or slide show into a photo description or comment. Or add it to a discussion topic comment.

flickr will automatically convert it into html code for you if you don't want to write it yourself. You can then later edit the link to give it a more meaningfull description. Or you could take an embedded picture and replace the link to the photo page with a link to a slide show. The original html code needed for that is provided on the all size pages of your own photos.
