27 Sep 09 - Hey folks, I'm stepping away from photo challenges on Flickr. I cannot find the time to do them anymore. Life is very busy and I can't possibly find the time to do these anymore. I'm sorry but I hope you all still enjoy the challenges here and if anyone wishes to add any, please be my guest!!

Welcome to The World of Still Life. Formerly known as Still Life Challenges.

STILL LIFE - What exactly is considered a still life?
Still life photos typically portray inanimate objects, meaning, things that are non living or not in motion. Although, there are some things that are considered still life, such as splashes of liquid, bubbles, flowers, plants, etc. All those are okay. Please do not post photos with any humans or animals for photos that portray motion...except those already mentioned. Most still life photos are set on flat surfaces, hanging on a wall, or just simply standing on the floor itself. Also, please no landscape photos or large buildings (architecture). If you are unsure your photo is considered still life or not, just contact one of the admins and they can help you out! =)

We have stopped doing weekly challenges with votes. Now we are leaving the threads open so anyone can post a photo anytime they wish. Please read this thread for more info. Thanks.
