About SKID ROW FOTOS
.SKID ROW FOTOS IS A GROUP for those who have original photos of a skid row in any city. Post only photos that you have taken or photos that are in your possession. Photos from family albums a plus. Interior shots okay, but nothing too gross. No cockroaches or rats please. Empty bottles okay. Dirty dishes and piles of clothes okay. Extra points for photos of hoarders and keepers. For example, photos of someone who keeps newspapers or tin cans. Old business areas fine; current skid row areas fine. Art work is fine. Please do not post images found on the internet unless it is your image. No violent or nude images. Use your best judgement when posting. There is an older term for these fringe areas that once were so numerous. They were referred to as the owery in many cities, especially New York and Chicago. Any literature or books that feature skid rows are acceptable. Book covers. For example, Down and Out in London and Paris by George Orwell would be ideal. Religious tracts from missions are okay.
