07 Nov 09 - Just a friendly reminder that this group focuses on the larger of the large format photographic formats. 4x5in and 9x12cm are big by some standards, but not big enough! The smallest common formats suitable for inclusion in the group are 5x7in and 13x18cm as outlined in the group rules.

About Size Matters

Dedicated to the celebration of the larger of the large format cameras and the images created with them.

This group is open to anyone with an interest in photography done using large format cameras that are on the larger end of that class of cameras. For the sake of this group I'm defining that to be photography done with cameras that have an image area of 35 in² (226 cm²) or more.

The following formats (measured in inches) are example ones acceptable for inclusion in this group: 4x10, 5x7, 6½x8½ (full-plate), 8x10, 8x20, 11x14, 14x17, 16x20, 20x24.

Examples of formats that are not acceptable for this group would be: 4x5, 4¼×6½ (half-plate), 3x4, 2x3, or any medium format films used on large format cameras. (But do head over to the excellent Large Format group if you haven't already.)
