About Six-Word Memoirs

A photo is worth a thousand words, here we're just asking for 6. When SMITH Magazine gave the Hemingway six-word story legend a new personal twist, 15,000 people (and counting) responded. Our favorite 832 are in our book, Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs By Writers Famous & Obscure.

The six-word memoir group is where writers from the book, or anyone with a six fix, can upload an image and six-word memoir that goes with it; post pictures of found six-word memoirs; show off shots of your own six-word slams and parties; model homemade six-word memoir shirts; or unleash disturbing photos of people counting to six, when they really should be working, sleeping, or enjoying a nice swim in the ocean.
