About Sissonville, West Virginia

Sissonville is a community outside of the capitol city of Charleston, WV. Sissonville has become a generic term for the areas including Pocatailco, Guthrie, White Chapel, Rocky Fork, Millertown, Wolfpen, Edens Fork, Tuppers Creek, Derricks Creek, Hicumbottom, and Leatherwood. Some would say the bounders would run from the Charleston City limits north to the Jackson County Line and from Cross Lanes East to around the Elkview area. What ever your interruptions of where Sissonville end and begins, there is a community with history dating back to the early 1800's. This group is for any photograph for this area called Sissonville. Old or new please feel free to add anything you would like. Also, please discuss topics that affect our area and our rich history. Enjoy the experience.
