About the simulacrum
In its most basic sense it could be said that the purpose of photography is to capture an image upon a medium as to allow recovery of that image and evaluation of the information contained within. But it's much more than just that. Photography is a conversation.
This group is the result of a conversation.
It's been said that 'everyone is a photographer.' That may be true, but not every one is a 'good photographer;'
We all have the potential of becoming better photographers, but we may lack the practice, desire, and encouragement necessary for becoming truly great.
Let this be a place to cultivate our photographic eye with the help of our friends..
