Many people in assisted living homes live each day feeling very uncomfortable and out of place. With Reminiscence Therapy, people living with dementia can remember the good times, which helps socialization and care interaction. The photos in this group, along with others, are used to personalize reminiscence therapy and improve quality of life.

About Memories: Capturing Experiences

My company provides media based therapy for people with dementia. One of the primary types of therapies is reminiscence therapy; and by showing an individual with dementia pictures from their past, they are able to remember and share their lives - this leads to increased quality of life.

At this point, the majority of our images comes from Flickr Creative Commons. Unfortunately, we are limited by the availability and types of pictures by this method.

This group offers you an opportunity to share your photos and experiences, as well as increasing the amount and quality of images available to us in our pursuit of enhanced quality of life for people with dementia.
