About Silent Sound

Silent Sound is a project by artists Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard. It begins with a live performance in the Small Concert Hall at St. George's Hall in Liverpool on 14th September. The event will be introduced by Dr. Ciaran O'Keeffe and will feature a new musical composition written and performed by Jason Pierce, from the band Spiritualized.

An installation opens the following day, 15th September, at Greenland Street, A Foundation's new contemporary art space in Liverpool. The installation incorporates an Ambisonic recording of the performance at St. George's Hall created in consulation with Charles Poulet and Arup Acoustics.

A live Compact Disc recording of the performance will be produced on the night by Live Here Now.
