20 Mar 07 - Yeimaya and I have created a hyperlink list so you can search the group pool and see all photos showing a particular type of sign. For example, to see all prints, you can click "prints" on the list below, and all photos with the correct tag will show up!

We have added some tags to your pictures. You are free to delete the tags from your own photos if you like, but they might not appear in searches then. You are also free to add tags to them! Suggestions are welcome, so let us know your opinions

About Signs of wildlife

Signs of wildlife. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr

This group is for photos of signs of wildlife. This is about documenting wildlife, even when we don't see it.

For example:
Prints (e.g., foot prints, tracks)
Scat (e.g., droppings)
Pathways (e.g., wildlife trails and runways, but without obvious foot prints)
Burrows
Middens
Feathers
Remains (e.g., bones, carcasses)
Pellets (e.g. owl pellets)
Markings (e.g., scratches)
Nests
Holes (e.g., insect or woodpecker holes)
Skins (e.g., shed snake skins)
Fur (shed fur)
Webs (e.g., spider webs)
Holes (e.g., dug by animals to look for food)
Stashes (e.g., places where animals hid food)
Horns (e.g., antlers)
Eggs (e.g., bird eggs, snail egg cases, etc.)

This isn't the place for photos of wildlife (there are many better groups for that). Or for photos of signs of pets/livestock. It's about how we can document wildlife in nature, even if we don't see it directly.
