About Sign of the Horse (Giant Horses & Signage)

This group welcomes signs and sculptures of horses (broncos, ponies, stallions, mares, mules, donkeys, burros) that stand proudly on restaurants, diners, clubs, motels, western wear stores, delis, tourist stops, butchers, farms and other businesses. Giant, over-sized roadside attraction horse sculptures are especially welcome. Flying horses (Pegasus) or half-horse, half fish (Hippocampus) are also welcome.

Preferred: large horse sculptures, often on top of the building or sign.

Welcome: Fiberglass horses, neon sign horses, painted horses on signs, horse heads, as long as they are the sign or advertisement for the business. It's ok if the business no longer exists...

We love vintage, but it doesn't have to be especially old to be invited. Kitsch is good.


This group is NOT for:
-actual real, living horses (or dead horses, either... no skulls and taxidermy, ok?)
-horse meat
-your art and drawings of horses
-other animals, such as pigs, unless they come with a horse
-My Little Pony or other horse toys
