About Sigma DP People in Public Places (PPP)

Candid photography in public places using the DP1/s and DP2/s cameras only.
The group was started to showcase the DPx cameras under 'street' conditions. The camera is well known as being a bit slow to auto-focus. Things like snails and old people on walking frames are ok for it. That's about it. So that makes shooting with these camera's in street situations a bit more of a challenge. It usually requires zone-focussing or a locked focus to be sure of getting that 'moment' in a 'raise camera-compose-click-lower camera' fashion.

Group rules:
Photographs have Camera type and EXIF data enabled. This group is ONLY for photographs taken with the Sigma DPx cameras.

No R18+ material.

Photographs must be of the social journalism-type. They should obviously taken in a public place, with people featuring in the shot. No portraits allowed. No snaps of your family on holiday-type stuff. You know what I mean...

Make the shots you submit to be your best work - you are only allowed 3 images per week, so make them count! The curator will review the work you post and then approve or deny.

In addition, there will be the odd photograph that falls to one side of the line or other and I may allow it. Post it and you'll soon know. Just don't cry if it disappears from the group, and don't re-submit it.
