About ShowaELC

The Department of English Language and Communication (ELC) of Showa Women's University in Tokyo, Japan has approximately 900 students and 50 faculty (28 full-time). The program offers a four-year degree (B.A.) in English and includes 2 years of skills courses with a required semester at our Boston Campus in the second year. Advanced content courses are taught from the second year, with Seminar courses a popular option in the 3rd and 4th years.
