About 'sharing the love' with moo cards

before i go into what this is all about, if you're not able to help by donating moo cards, then you can still help by spreading the word & inviting anyone & everyone to the group.

lying in my bed late one night, trying to get to sleep, i had an idea going around in my brain for a way to 'share the love'. has anyone seen the 'free hugs' video around the place? to cut a possibly long story short, basically, a guy went around the city streets in melbourne (or was it sydney?), australia holding up a sign that said, "FREE HUGS". (it was videotaped & then used in a music video clip. if you'd like to see it, just google 'free hugs juan mann' & you'll be sure to find it.) he simply gave a friendly hug to anyone that took up his offer.

when i saw that, i was so inspired to do something similar, but at the time, i couldn't think of anything along the same vein which would sit well with me.

so, lying there late at night, i came up with this idea:

i want to get a whole lot of moo cards with bright & happy pictures on them. on the back, there would have no logo, no picture, nothing except the words:

you are beautiful

then i want to go into brisbane city & stand there in the middle of the mall & offer them to people .. to share the love. to make people feel good about themselves. to brighten someone's day.

my goal is to have (at least) 1000 cards to give out, but to have that many printed isn't particularly pheasible for my current financial situation, so this is where you moo-loving people come in. any of you out there who might have some 'spare' money to spend on making strangers feel happy, can print up a set of moo cards as above with only the words "you are beautiful" (without the quotes, no punctuation, no capitals, all in bold) printed on the back to give to the cause.

you'd have your cards sent directly to me & then once i have at least 1000 cards, i'll go out to the mall.

i know there's a trust issue here, sending some random girl boxes of moos, but if you're the sort of person who'd like to help spread the love, then i hope you'll believe that i'm certainly not planning on keeping them for myself. i wouldn't see the point in keeping them for myself, anyway. what on earth would i do with that many moos?

so, what do you think? any takers (givers)? it'd be great karma.

as stated above at the very beginning of this description, if you're not in a situation where you can (or want to & that's okay, too) donate cards, then you can help by spreading the word to your contact list. invite them to the group, tell them by email, flickr mail, however you like.
