This is a beautiful poem. I think that your journey to pride in your body as it is today has begun. I have days. I go back and forth. It's not easy, and I don't think I'll ever be TOTALLY ok with my body. I think the first step for me, was realizing that MY feelings about my body were all that really mattered.

I think it can be a life long process. You just have to take a look around you... The "beautiful" people are the minority. Everyone else is the norm. Funny thing is, even the "beautiful" ones have self image issues. Look at plastic surgery junkies. They can't stop even after they "fix" the things that were "wrong" with them. Sometimes to the point that they lose their beauty in a whole new way.
