About Shallow Depth of Field

This is a group dedicated to photos taken with a very shallow depth of field.

Depth of field is the amount of in-focus subject matter in front of, and behind, your main subject.

Shallow depth of field can be achieved by using wide apertures, long focal lengths, getting very close to a subject, or various combinations thereof.

In the interest of maintaining variety in the pool, please do not submit multiple versions of very similar images in the same session, as only one will be chosen.
