Welcome to Shacknews Assignments, a group for Shackers who want to expand their photographic creativity on a bi-weekly basis.

GROUP RULES

Submissions

* One submission per person - so make it count!
* Submit your photo via the photo pool and then post in the assignment thread.
* Entries must be photos taken specifically for this challenge. The whole point of this thing is to better ourselves as photographers.
* To enter, add your photo to the Shack Assignments group and then embed the image in the assignment post. (Go to your image, click "Share This", click "Grab the HTML/BBCode" and copy the embed code for medium (500px). Just paste that into the flickr post form to add it to the thread.)
* Submissions may be modified up until the challenge is closed for voting.
* If you modify your submission, make sure you remove your previous entry.
* We don't have any limits on post-processing, but there's a fine line between processing and creating. Becoming a better photographer is our goal, and post-processing is part of that, but if you think it crosses the line into digital painting or something, then consider submitting a different photograph. Again, we have no hard and fast rule here, just use your judgment.
* No late arrivals will be accepted.

Voting

* Voting will start immediately after submission time is over; it will generally continue for 2 days or so.
* Voting will take place in a new topic appended with VOTING THREAD, and a list of all valid entries will be included in the root post.
* Votes should look like this: "My vote goes to [username]." or something along those lines.
* One vote per person.
* Don't change your vote once it's posted. Think about it first.
* Voting should be heavily influenced by the submission's use and/or interpretation of the theme.

Winners

* The winner will get to choose the next theme, pending general consensus approval (this should never be a problem, as the people who get voted winner should hopefully be taking the challenge seriously and not pick a topic like "pics of your sex organs pls").
* The winner will be added to the Winners Gallery, and a "Congrats" will stay on the main group page until the next assignment is complete.
