South Glos looks for contributions from photographers in or visitors to the South Glos area.
South Glos is a county on the outskirts of Bristol: the offspring of the much-derided Avon. Its population is mostly rural but some of Bristol's older are more heavily populated suburbs are included.
The border can be followed on the 1:50 000 OS maps which can be seen on the web at both multimap.com and www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/getamap/.
Included are: Almondsbury, Alveston, Beach, Bitton, Bradley Stoke, Cribbs Causeway, Charfield, Chipping Sodbury, Dyrham, Dodington, Downend, Filton, Frampton Cotterell, Hanham, Kings Chase, Kingswood, Ladden Brook, Longwell Green, Oldland Common, Parkwall, Patchway, Pilning, Severn Beach, Rodway, Siston, Staple Hill, Stoke Gifford, Thornbury, Thornbury, Westerleigh, Wick, Wickwar, Winterbourne, Woodstock, Upton Cheney, Yate.
Roughly speaking, the following places are just inside the southern border of South Glos: Hallen, Filton, UWE, Frenchay, Downend, Mangotsfield, Staple Hill, Soundwell, Kingswood, Conham, and the north bank of the Avon from Conham River Park up to Swineford.
The north and east border is harder to describe as it's mostly in open country, but Badminton, Wickwar and Charfield are all in, as is Oldbury power station.
There is no restriction on subject matter but please try not to publish anything that might offend your Mum.
