online fabric shop selling apparel fabrics?

view profile

bookwormbethie says:

Hello everyone, I'm looking for an online fabric shop that has a large selection of apparel fabrics (such as twill for pants) and maybe various cottons that would be appropriate for tops.

the only requirement i have is that the shop sell swatches so i can see the fabrics before i buy, and i really don't want to shop at fabric.com so i am looking for other sources to purchase apparel fabrics online.

thanks in advance!

Try Spoonflower at www.spoonflower.com

They have a range of natural fabrics and many many many designs and fabric designers (I am one of them!).

Hope this is helpful,
Su

I assume you already know about fabric.com, here are a few others I have bookmarked. I have only ordered from Denver Fabrics so I can't vouch for the others. I don't know if they mail swatches but assuming they do.

B&J Fabrics: www.bandjfabrics.com/
Denver Fabrics: www.denverfabrics.com/
Britex Fabric: www.britexfabrics.com/
Grayline: www.graylinelinen.com/

No fabric but every sewing notion you could think of is here: ctsusa.com/

I can't be sure that Fabric Mart and Mood sell swatches, but they often have gorgeous stuff, and the emphasis is on apparel fabrics rather than quilting cottons.
