This is an international quilting bee set up by me, Jenna of SewHappyGeek. I'm looking for 11 dependable participants. We will kick off in September 2011 (unless the sign ups are phenomenal, then we might be able to start in August). Anyone from anywhere is welcome to join, as long as you're absolutely sure you can commit for a year, and can commit to participating fully, i.e. checking the Flickr group and contributing regularly, posting pictures of blocks and WIPs, etc. If you don't like the online bonhomie aspect, I totally understand but this might not be the right group for you. No hard feelings.

These are the requirements:

You MUST have an active Flickr account
You must be sure you can commit to 2 blocks per month for a year.
You must be able to post your fabrics internationally if necessary for your month.
You don't have to have previous bee experience, and if you do, please be comfortable with providing guidance or help to a new bebe if necessary.

Here's how it would work:
You pick a month (I'll send you a link to a spreadsheet later) and at the first of your month, you post out fabrics to the others, along with directions about what kind of blocks you want them to make. More about that in a discussion.
The others make your blocks and post them back. It is up to you whether to let others 1) keep what's left over and 2) use fabrics from their own stash in your blocks if they desire.

If you have never participated in a bee before, PLEASE READ the discussion threads for appropriate links. My advice is that you read them fully before signing up to make sure you're okay with everything.
