Taking Things Seriously: A Leonard Lopate Show Photo Project

Most of us have a random object that inspires us – a found seashell, an empty box, a souvenir trinket, a sculpture bought at a yard sale. On December 21, the Leonard Lopate Show is hosting a new listener photo project, Taking Things Seriously – inspired by the new book of the same title, by Joshua Glenn and Carol Hayes. It’s published by Princeton Architectural Press, and there’s more information about it here.

So...think about a strange object that has meaning to you, take a photo, and submit it via Flickr. And tell us the story behind the object – what makes it meaningful– in the photo’s description field on Flickr.

We’ll talk about your submissions on air on Dec. 21. The deadline for submissions is Wed., Dec. 19th, at 12:00 noon.
