I'm into this one! I'll join you guys for sure! Perhaps starting a "52 weeks in the SPC" group to keep all the images in one place?

That is one thing I was thinking of, but I thought everyone having there own thread right here might work just as well. Then there's no need to go hunting for it, and we'll check in on it when we come to the SPC - what do you think?

Keeping this as a placeholder for my shots as we go forward.
Glad you guys enjoyed the list.
I'm down with whatever you guys decide for sharing the shots: start a group, posting here or whatever. If we do both, we'll have posts here that collects the shots by user, and a group that gathers the shots by theme. I leave those decisions in someone else's hands.

Boys and girls - after careful consideration and discussing things with Megan over some Niagara growlers, I have seen the error of my ways and decided to make a few adjustments to the upcoming schedule. For the best, I do decry.
Hopefully everyone is rocking and rolling on week one - I'll get something posted tomorrow to get us started!

So has there been a conclusion as to how to post our pics? Individual threads, one big thread, separate group?

For now, throw them up right here. You can post below and Just title it Damian's 52 weeks or what have you. We'll get a group or another way to do it up over the next few days!

The change, taking away Fluid Long Exposure because "we already have water in week one" seems silly to me.
Fluid Long Exposure is, for example, taking a picture of a running tap, or smoothed out waterfalls, or whatever.
Fluid Freeze Frame is using a flash to freeze the motion of a fluid body.
Two entirely different things, and very different styles of photography.
That's why I had a whole category of Fluid shots in our first list.
The rest of the changes, though, make entirely good sense, and I am entirely on board.

Len, do you really want to take a photo of a running tap? Really? If you want to shoot a waterfall you can do it under the landscape section. I'm trying to open these up a little more to push creativity.
Anyone and everyone can participate - I'll be doing most of the first month or two from Canada and the USA.

Parker. My idea was to catch a shot of someone pouring a pint. But whatever. It's not worth arguing.
That will probably just end up being my shot for faith...
Edit: Added this week's shot into my placeholder post above.

week 1 -- splash/flash
sorry for being a bit late... and for the vanishing image... I decided to brush out some highlights right after i posted

week 2 -- environmental portrait
i am against shots at work, and here i've gone and done it. also, i've probably broken environmental photo rules with my underexposed environment, but overall i liked this best from the bunch (even though i'm not terribly fond of it).

week 3 -- shadows

Seeing some fantastic stuff in here, folks!
I'm toying with the idea of setting up a group this week to do a few extra things with this concept, including some simple awards and the like.
I'd also like to see a little more interaction among those of us doing this - so take a moment as you whiz past the images to stop in and offer some constructive feedback on what you see, in the spirit of the SPC!

I've been a slacker as of lake, but I'm catching up this weekend. I hope to see more of the SPC folks get involved - along with some of the new folks, too. We've had about 25 new members join this month, so let's get shooting! it's not too late to get on this one. If you haven't started, just begin with this week's challenge and catch up when you have time

Sadly, my shoot fell apart today; I was scheduled to shoot a SWAT officer in the woods but we had a brutal storm and were rained out. We're rescheduled for a week an a half from now. I likely won't touch the Dave Hill shot until then, so if you're waiting for my walk through I encourage you to either try it on your own and ask for tips, or wait until I get a crack at it next time out! Or... catch up if you're a little behind. Cheers, boys and girls!
Oh... We're getting a little unruly here, so perhaps it is time for a group; more for the discussions than the photos (we'll keep the thread alive). I'll try and get one up tomorrow.
