About Self-Portraits!!!

We encourage you to be creative and think outside of the normal self-portrait mold. Build a set that reflects something about who you are and take a photo with you interacting with it. For example, if you are an advocate of recycling water bottles you could build a small wall of them and shoot some photos with that as your background. Have fun with it and you never know what you might come up with!

Rules

Photos of YOURSELF taken by YOURSELF. We don't mind if you setup a tripod but had to have someone else push the button on the camera because you don't have a remote, or if you setup a shot and directed a friend on how to frame it and had them fire it off. As long as it was wholly your concept and you were the main influence on the result.

They should be PORTRAITS; they should reveal something about you. Shadows, feet, hands, or a sliver of you don't really say much unless you've really made a statement about you in the photo. We will delete photos that are of just your feet, hands, or a tiny piece of you if we don't feel they are relevant enough to be self-portraits.

Regarding NUDITY: we allow MODERATE photos (per flickr settings), so artistic nudity is okay. Nothing explicit or sexually provocative, though.

Lastly, HAVE FUN and enjoy taking photos!
