About Seil & Easdale Islands, a Ring of Bright Water.
Seil and Easdale are two of the world's more beautiful islands. Nestling on the west coast of Scotland these slate islands bathe in the micro climate of the Inner Hebrides.
So many of the views are westerly, over water, creating a dazzling, ever changing range of pictures. It's no wonder the 1969 film 'Ring of Bright Water' was filmed here, perfectly entwining the natural beauty of the area with it's wildlife in an enchanting story (watch the clip www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6uCh3P5k9k&feature=related )
This Group is dedicated to pictures of Seil and Easdale islands, past and present. Members are requested to post pictures only taken on, or featuring, these two islands. Whilst most photographers are drawn to the landscape, please also include photos of its people, the wildlife, its way of life and historical photos......even old postcards.
