FIVE SIMPLE STEPS TO DO IT ON YOUR OWN:
1. Blindfold yourself
2. Go out in public and make your way in the world
3. Photograph with all your senses – except your eyes.
Here are some assignments you can try doing.
4. Embrace the whole experience as much as the picture taking.
(Engage. Have a conversation witih people you encounter. Take it all in.)
5. Share your story
(For each photo write a caption about your experience - a few lines or
much more).
a few resources to help you organize an event
Please chose only 1 to 3 photos to submit. Caption the photos describing something about your experience (context & stories are often as important as the image itself). You can also posts longer stories in the discussions and include images that aren't in the group pool. How do you post a photo in a discussion?
This experience isn’t about blindness – it is about seeing, noticing and paying attention with more than your eyes.
It's a challenge, but take the plunge – we dare you.
