About The Secret Life of Smithdown
Your photos could be part of a museum display!
Smithdown Road in South Liverpool links the vibrant, diverse areas of Toxteth, Wavertree and Allerton. The road has changed considerably over time, and still continues to change today. Many different people live and shop along it, including students at Liverpool's three universities.
'The Secret Life of Smithdown' is an exciting project exploring the local neighbourhood. The project aims to discover how local shop keepers and shops have helped shape the area and the diverse lives of local residents past and present. The information collected will be used for an exhibition in the People's City gallery in the new Museum of Liverpool, opening 2011.
Do you live along or near Smithdown Road now, or have you in the past? We would love to see your photos, especially older ones from past decades if you have any.
Find out more about the project on the Museum of Liverpool website.
PLEASE NOTE
We cannot promise that all pictures added to the group will appear within the Museum of Liverpool. If we would like to use your picture, we will get in touch and tell you how we would like to include it. We will not use your image without checking with you first.
