freedom high in the sky .. i just have to think of a song here in Germany, that freedom high in the sky must be without borders ....
(I don't know if i translated it correctly, i'm sorry if not!! ;-)) in german: über den Wolken muss die Freiheit wohl grenzenlos sein ....
how can i post my photos to the theme thread that they appear at once and not in form of the link?

6. This is a song about a super-hero named Tony

It's called Tony's theme.
I am Tony, super bicycle Tony, I'm racing
Spitfire turn and pop a wheelie, burn and evil chasing
I'm waving bye, bye, bye, bye, bye
I got a card in my spokes
I'm practicing my joke, I'm learning

While the world's impression of the United States has suffered a lot in recent years, I think that this statue is still symbolic of the freedoms upon which the country is based.

Didn't have much on this topic (alas.) This isn't technically nearly as good as the others, but protesting and being naked both fit the theme rather well. The notes on the picture describe it further and link to other views.

Thank you all, for the wonderful interpretation of the theme FREEDOM. I really like five images in this collection. #1 for its simplicity and technical perfection, #8 for the innovative idea, #10 for its interesting diagonal composition, #25 for the capture of 'the feeling of a moment' and, last but not least, #27 for an excellent documentary.
Finally, to the selection. Apart from the personal interpretations, I believe in the commitment of photographers to the society. And because of that personal reason, I would like to go for #27 an image from Chuha.
Greetings

Because nothing is completed, the birds did not land, the rainbow does not have end, the sea overflows on sand without invading it, the chairs wait, also, all is pure metaphors of freedom cause nothing is "finished"

I just love this clear blue water. Swimming there must be really relaxing and i think you can forget all your problems. Just close your eyes, take a deep breath or lay on the water and watch the beautiful blue sky, feel free!! Nothing can disturb you and nobody can tell you what to do and what not!
So, that is freedom to me!! :-)
Brilliant shot.

I'll go for #7 by Kaddy, I think that the subject is more "interesting" by the subjectiveness (like #8, #27 and #28) of real freedom than the other shots with somehow "cliché" freedom ;)

Ok this was almost impossible - really difficult to choose. I found that this topic was too subjective, I refrained from entering as freedom is so personal I could not find something which might suggest freedom to others. So many great shots in this theme, but nothing that really reflects my view of freedom. The closest shots to my own view were #7 for the symbolic merit and #2 for the feeling the shot conveyed to me. So, my vote goes to number #2, in the words of John Lennon "Free as a bird, its the next best thing to be. "

For me, it's #10, for the symbolism of it.
I love the simplicity in interpretation, the contrast of the enclosing wall and the blue sky, the happy peeping free cloud. Well-thought and nicely executed.
#20 comes a close second.

Hmm, I can't decide on this one. I like something that says freedom somehow, but doesn't go for obvious symbolism. Of course, a couple explored freedom this way, but it also ought to be a well executed photo...I arrived at...32

Yet another wonderful week of photos! Thank you everyone for posting your excellent work! Difficult to choose from but photos #1, # 2, #16, #21, #30 and #32 stood out for me this week. #21 has been one of my favorites for awhile and I think there is nothing like drifting down a river with your feet up and enjoying being free - so #21 gets my vote this week:)

I've never associated freedom with relaxing on a beach personally... I guess I've always thought of it in terms of the struggle to keep it and the conflict of exercising it.
Many of these pictures are gorgeous; #15 is open and colorful, #30, #25, #19, #2, and #1 so very sharp. Others are actually about freedom, but so openly symbolic.
But #29 is really about freedom, because freedom is the right to walk your own path even though it be long and hard. And so my vote.

#20 is an excellent picture but the person is still not free.
So my vote goes to #1. the hand is a little overexposed but the picture tells the whole story for the freedom and its not restricted to one person but a group of people and to me Freedom is all about that.
