About Certified Schoolyard Habitats
Calling all Schools! How does your garden grow? NWF would like to build up its visual library of how schools are using their grounds – for wildlife habitats, for teaching and for beautification.
Post your photos:
Your garden – before it was installed, after it was installed and what it looks like today
Using your garden – pictures of teachers, students or community members using and celebrating the garden at the school
Wildlife – photos of wildlife in your Schoolyard Habitat
Interesting and fun photos – any fun or interesting photos of teachers and students outside exploring nature
Photos may be used on our website, in our publications or other interesting ways. Your photo may be the next great image!
National Wildlife Federation assists school communities to create and use outdoor classrooms called Schoolyard Habitats® where educators and students learn how to attract and support local wildlife. These wildlife habitats become places where students not only learn about wildlife species and ecosystems, but also outdoor classrooms where they hone their academic skills and nurture their innate curiosity and creativity.
