About Old School Building Names This group is dedicated to pictures of the stonework or ironwork bearing the name of a school. The stone engravings were usually done in schools from the 1900-1940 range while after that affixed brass or steel letters began to be used. This is NOT for pictures of flat painted signs, free-standing signs, or other decorations. Pictures should show the name of the school building with any date or ornamentation around it if possible.
