About Schmocus gets in your eyes
This is a Group for all those pictures out there that are more or less intentionally or even accidentally blurred, the pictures that, through the effect of blurred or sometimes unclear silhouettes and colors, still create an impression, still give birth to feelings and emotions and ideas.
Great Art can do that - let's try it together!
It should be clear to all Group members that this is not actually a Bokeh Group. I adore and appreciate Bokeh and tight or shallow DoF pictures, but Schmocus is not about Bokeh and DoF at all. No single spot of the picture must be in focus.
The more out of focus a picture is the better!
An ideal Schmocus picture is more about impressions, abstract shapes and colors opening the door to imagination which can or cannot then interpret at will what the eye sees, what the lens captured.
As a result, otherwise exquisite pictures that do not fulfill the Schmocus definition requirements cannot be part of this Group. Group Administration will not be at all happy to exclude them, but keeping them would be unfair and would certainly create confusion.
Occasionally, exceptions may be made, though, for very shallow DoF pictures with a meaningful Schmocus background.
