I've been to many states in the US; my favorites are California and New Mexico. I've also lived in England and traveled to Guernsey (Channel Islands), Scotland, France, Mexico, and The Netherlands. I'd love to spend more time in all of those places!

Adversus: you've been to Singapore! Surprising, since Singapore's hardly what one would consider an exotic vacation destination. Hah.
I've been to many states in the US, especially love California and Florida - have a soft spot for beaches.
And most of Asia, including China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia etc.

And I'm sure there are some I forgot.

i've been to mexico (yucatan), canada (toronto & montreal), dominican republic (puerto plata, santo domingo, la romana), st. croix, france (nice, st. remy), spain (barcelona, madrid), puerto rico and several states in the u.s., including california, nevada, utah, arizona, texas, arkansas, missouri, louisiana, mississippi, florida, new york, new jersey, pennsylvania, delaware, virginia, tennessee, kentucky and the six new england states.

I am chilean and I study in Maine, US. I have been all around Chile, Torres del Paine National park and Juan Fernadez archipielago are among my favorite places. In the US I have visited mostly all the east coast. I have been in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and Canada.

I have...
...stared across the Great Rift Valley from the Ethiopian Highlands.
...gazed at snowcapped Kilimanjaro from the Sarengedi.
...rowed the Ganges at sunrise.
...seen the world's only spring-fed rainforest.
...been to the sources of both the Blue and the White Nile.
...walked the Gold Coast.
...driven a moving van halfway across the Balkans.
...scaled more Alps than I can count on my hands.

I've been to 25 countries in Europe, the Americas and New Zealand.
My favourite countries are Sweden (particularly the area above the Arctic Circle), Chile (so rugged and beautiful) and New Zealand ('pure', defined).
I've marvelled at the many colours of green in Colombia and in Brazil. I've stood in awe in front of the ancient monuments in Italy and in Spain. I've relaxed on the beaches of France and Monaco - and Portugal too. I've skied in the Alps of Switzerland and explored deep dark caves in the South of Italy.
I must move. I must travel. I enjoy getting away, and love to come back home. Most of all, I enjoy people.
And I am glad that I have a little camera to record some of my journeys.

Lived in the U.S. all my life -- New Jersey, Chicago (Illinois), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), and Washington DC (city and Maryland suburbs).
Have also traveled in the U.S. to: Vermont; Colorado; Florida; California; Washington State (Seattle); Wisconsin; Texas; Arizona ; Massachusetts; Rhode Island; Connecticut; Virgnia; Indiana; New York; Delaware; West Virginia; Georgia; and Nevada.
Internationally, I've been to Israel, Paris and its outskirts, Amsterdam and its outskirts, and Australia. I have also briefly been to Cozumel, Mexico; Toronto, Canada; and the Bahamas.
Amsterdam, Paris, and Australia (the Great Barrier Reef, the outback, and Sydney) were my favorites. I must post old pics from those trips.

Apart from the places I've lived in(see where are you from?) I've travelled across Canada 4 times, including a visit to Newfoundland, been to Ireland, France, Italy, Hungary, Bermuda, most of the Carribean Islands, and a lot of the U.S. including Alaska.
And there's still so much more...

I've been to many places but what I find strange now is that I'm from nowhere, I was born in Johannesburg I lived there until I was a teenager when my father decided to leave, I lived in England through my adolescence..........I went back to Johannesburg it drew at my heart, I married but we left, we wanted an unblinkered life for our children...
we lived in England for 10 years and now we live in France the land of my mother. I'm an Alien, when I was young I thought it was wonderful to have no ties, no patriotism [dangerous], I was part of the whole world all the people, colour, creed, no difference to me but as I get older I find that it's a lonely life everyone needs ties and sometimes I wish I'd never seen many places.
Sorry sounds very serious doesn't it? It's late.

I've been to most of the 48 Continental States, Mexico, and briefly (we're talking MINUTES here) Alberta, Canada. Oh & Jamaica. Not much of an international traveler - not for lack of curiosity or will to go - but for a need to get my fill of the wonderful places close to home first.

I'm Scottish but have lived in England, Bulgaria and Nigeria.
I've been to France, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany (but very briefly), Norway, the Former Yugoslavia, Wales... I may think of more later.....
My husband is far further travelled through work - he is looking to see where he hasn't been!!!

My travels have taken me to France, Spain, Gibraltar, all Balearic Islands, most of the Canary Islands. Italy, Venice (awesome), Switzerland, Czech Republic, Greece and the Greek Islands. USA, New York, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Mynammar and Malaysia (inc Tioman island)
My favourite destination is the next one.........always happy to visit somewhere new!

philippines, two non-contiguous us states hawaii and alaska, u.k., italy, france, canada, and mexico. unfortunately, i didn't get into photography most of the places mentioned. visited the philippines 5 times in my life, and i will tell anyone that whereever you go on the "thousand islands" you are bound to get great photography shots (go to cebu and manila! great tourist cities!)

I live in Canberra Australia. Was born in Montreal Canada, grew up in Nassau Bahamas. My parents are Hungarian and I have been to Hungary about 6 times. Lived in Las Vegas, Ft Lauderdale and Atlantic City US. Have also lived in Sydney and Melbourne Australia. I live in the US and have been to 17 states. I've also been to Canada, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and (very briefly) Columbia. I loved the time I spent in South America and hope to go back again sometime.

I have been a resident of Argentina - Buenos Aires, Brasil - Sao Paulo, Australia -Sydney & Brisbane and the United Kingdom - St. Albans.
I have visited many parts of the above countries but also have been to Chile, Tahiti, Singapore, France, Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.
Have most recently been in Southern California, and the west coast of the USA.
Too many visits to discuss, but always try to find the positive in every situation so they are always a good experience. Always do look forward to the next destination, so many places to visit.

I like it when people ask me where I'm from, because I don't know how to answer. I think they mean, where do you live, or, where were you born, but it's usually not clear.
Where have you been is a better question, but still encompasses quite some territory. I grew up as a State Department brat and lived in four countries before we moved to the USA when I was 10. We went overseas again to Holland and I went to my last three years of high school there.
I've traveled to all of the lower 48 states at one time or another, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, in addition to 40-plus countries in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

But for the next couple of years I plan to explore more of my own country, especially its many islands.

Wow - I'm seriously jealous now! :-)
Have lived in England, and seen most of the main parts of the UK, including bits of Scotland and Wales.
I went to Brittany on a school trip when I was much younger! Don't really remember much of the place, though - was too young to appreciate it, I think.
More recently, we've been to Lesvos (Greece) and Croatia - both fantastic holidays, and beautiful places to visit.
Currently I live on the Isle of Man - which is a beautiful little place full of great scenery and varied photo opportunities - so I don't feel like I'm missing out too much :-)
In less than a week's time, however, we'll be up in Vancouver, getting ready to cruise Alaska for our honeymoon... yay! Should be pretty spectacular!

I live in Norway and have visited US, Ecuador, Hong Kong and several countries in Western and Eastern Europe. The most amazing places I've been to is the Galapagos Islands and Svalbard in the Arctic. Both are great places for photopgraphing.

I currently live in Taipei Taiwan after spending 5 years in Tokyo Japan. I grew up and lived in Boston Mass, USA for the 34 years prior to that. I have been to the following places in Asia; Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia. In Europe I have visited Spain, England, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Germany and Czechoslovakia when it was called that in 1982. In North America I have visited Canada and the following states in the US; Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, California, Texas, Florida, Oregon, Illinois, New Jersey, Marlyand, Virginia, Washington DC, South Carolina, Hawaii and Alaska. I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel on vacation, on business and to be able to live in both the US and Asia.

I was born in Indonesia and lived there until last year when I decided to move to Canada to be with my then boyfriend/now husband. I have been to 8 of the Indonesian provinces (including Bali), 5 of the Canadian provinces, and the city of London and its surroundings in England.
Countries I've been to but only as far as the airport are Malaysia, Singapore, And Hongkong, plus one Canadian province (British Columbia).
I'm hoping to travel more in the future!

I was born, raised, and still live in Israel - the land of milk and blood.
As the country is sorta tiny, and not the most calming place on earth (yup, that is by far an understatement) i tend to travel as much as i can, whenever i get a break from work.
Therefore Ive been to Sinai (Egypt), Wadi Rum and Petra (Jordan), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Cologne (Germany), the Isle of man, Manchester and London (UK), Paris (France), Chicago and Miami (US), and last but definatly not least - several ski resorts in France and Italy.

ooh this is fun. I haven't been to many exotic places. I have lived in England, Australia and Holland (shortly returning to Melbourne). I've visited much of Wales (all over), Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aviemore), Ireland (Dublin), France (Paris), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Granada, Malaga), Italy (Venice, Milan, Florence - my fave, Rome, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, Pompeii, Ercolano), Germany (all over), Luxembourg, Belgium (Brussels, Antwerp, Gent, Brugge, Liege), Sweden (Stockholm), Denmark (Copenhagen), Austria (Vienna), Switzerland (Zurich, Lucerne and soon Geneva), Czech Republic (Prague), Malta, US (only Boston so far), Singapore, Tahiti. I've also a lot of the east coast of Australia, and a lot of England and the Netherlands.

I may as well take part..Apart from Canada wich I visit yearly..because my daughter lives there..the following are only brief stays.
Croatia..Greece..Italy..America..Spain..Portugal
Madeira..Corfu..France..Gibralta..Scotland..Cyprus..North Africa..Turkey..Netherlands..Israel.
And I reside in England.
The place I enjoyed the most was Croatia..before they had problems.

This thread dates back for months but as I am a new member I might as well join in, like burwell above.
I've been to Spain, Madeira, France, Austria, UK, USA (some National Parks on the west coast) New Zealand and Australia. Next we plan to visit British Guyana and Marrakesh. I enjoyed NZ/Australia so far, although UK is a beautiful country too.

GOOD QUESTION! I am from the US. currently living in Switzerland. I have been to at least 15 States (including two of the Hawaiian Islands) in the US, at least 9 cities in Mexico. I have been to Canada, Hong Kong, Macau, Paradise Island (the Bahamas), Israel, and in the past five months I have been in 7 countries ( Switzerland, Italy, France, Greece, (Rhodes and Mykonos) Spain, Monaco and England (about 28 cities in all). And I am looking foward to going home!

I live in Lisbon - Portugal - and in my 23 years of existence I went to:
Europe - Portugal (of course), Spain, France, UK, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, Czech Republic
Africa - São Tomé & Príncipe, Morocco, Tunisia
Asia - Turkey, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau (while it was portuguese)
America - Brazil
I would love to visit New Zealand & Australia, as well as exploring African countries, such as Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Senegal and the ex portuguese colonies: Guinea, Mozambique & Angola.
Maybe one day...I hope so!

I am pretty much a home bird. I have toured the 32 counties of Ireland, and I have also cycled through them all. I have been to London several times and many times to Wales, Wales is lovely, London is great loads to see and do.
If you hav enever been to Ireland, why not browse through som eof my pictures to see "The Real Ireland"

Lived in UK (Dartmoor, Kingston-upon-Thames, Twickenham, Edinburgh), The Netherlands (opposite Die Oude Kirk). Been all over France, but mostly West coast, Monaco, Austria in the summer near Wilder Kaiser, Mombasa, Ambisili, Masai Mara, Costa Rica all over including the awesome Arenal volcano and Montezuma, Italy South East, Southern Spain in Competa (approx. 10 miles inland), Belgium, albeit briefly on way from France to Netherlands. Er, I think that's pretty much it, actually. So much to do, so little time.

All the states in the US (except Hawaii), Canada, Mexico, England, Puerto Rico, and some islands in the Carribbean. I live in Texas. I'm really hoping to do some more traveling soon but I probably will not be able to for a while.

I have been all over Canada and have posted a few pics of my trips there. It was a fun place to visit. Mexico was also fun but in a differnt way. I have been to 42 states in the US but always end up back home in Idaho. I am a 5th generation so more than likly I will stay. I do love to travel.
