This Flickr pool is for sharing images of typically rare or uncommon birds photographed in Santa Barbara County, CA. What is rare and uncommon in the county? Consider joining the sbcobirding discussion forum to learn what is out of the ordinary. Ask a question of the group, participate in discussion and learn about local birds.

To add photos to this pool, please meet the following criteria:
Any image(s) of rare birds are welcome and encouraged. Limit "less common" birds to just one interesting shot only- i.e., unusual location, unusual behavior or depicting an unusual characteristic not typical of the species. This pool is not intended for photos of common yard or feeder birds. Please tag photos with at least the species' common name if known. Add date and location in your comments field to provide useful information about when and where the photo was taken. Be sure to post a message to the Yahoo Group if you have uploaded a rare bird image. All photos are open to group discussion.
