About Santa Barbara County Beautiful Birds

This is the place to post beautiful photos of birds from Santa Barbara County.

Sometimes a photo goes beyond simply identifying a bird's species, sometimes it is a true work of art.

All Santa Barbara County birds are welcome. Rare birds, interesting behaviors, and birds in flight are appreciated but not requirements. Please submit photos of birds taken in their natural surroundings without any "hand of man" features, such as fences, bird feeders, power lines, trimmed branches, etc. Points awarded for good lighting, sharp focus, nice bokeh, and thoughtful composition.

Santa Barbara County's beautiful backdrop and astonishing variety of bird species makes this county a bird photographer's paradise.
