About Saxon Shore Way

This group is for photographs taken along the route of the Saxon Shore Way. There are no posting rules other than the photos must be recognisable as having a connection with the SSW.

Feel free to start discussions but please keep them polite, this is a family friendly group.

The Saxon Shore Way is a 163 mile walk which starts in Gravesend and follows much of the shoreline, be it river or coastal, all the way to Hastings. The walk does go inland in places, but mostly follows the rivers or coastal routes.

This is a quick summary of the route:
Gravesend - Medway - Faversham - Whitstable - Reculver - then inland to Richborough rejoining the coast at Sandwich - Deal - Hythe - then inland again joining the Royal Military Canal walk through Appledore rejoining the coast at Rye and onto Hastings.
