07 Nov 07 - Alright folks, we're going to do a little virtual photo protest here: Upload a pic of yourself with a protest sign, taken somewhere on the North UNM Golf Course.

Take a friend, your dog, or anyone you can drag along and get a pic of them too. Find a friendly stranger on the course and get a pic of them holding your sign! Post your pic to the signs thread in the discussion!

Who said protest signs went out in the '60s? Lets have some fun with this and see who can do the best protest shot?

About Save the UNM North Golf Course!

A group for anyone who uses and loves the North Golf Course at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.

This group was spurred by the recent plan by the University of New Mexico to turn a large part of the golf course into a retirement community, thereby removing one of the last major pieces of green space in the center of Albuquerque.

Post your photos of the golf course, of you and others playing golf, walking, running, excercising your dogs, of the birds and animals that live on the golf course. Essentially any pics that show off the beauty of the golf course or how the golf course makes your life better.

Please go to the discussion groups as well and post your thoughts or a story of how you use the golf course and what it means to you. Even if you don't have photos of the golf course, if you use it, post your story to the group discussion.

With your support we can make the point that the UNM North Golf Course is a community resource and should be treasured, not developed.
