The prize has been saved and will re-launch in Canberra in 2008 at the National Portrait Gallery.

Well done everyone for supporting this great prize. Perhaps we willl see you ALL in Canberra for the Re-launch of this great prize.

By posting one Portrait to this pool and signing the petition and sending the letter at www.savetheaustralianphotographicportraitprize.org/" you can help get this valuable photographic art prize reinstated.

The website contains all the information you need to know about how and why this prize was canceled just two weeks before Christmas 2006. The web site also has the Petition and what you can do to help with getting the prize reinstated. The site links back to the Flickr pool too so we should be enjoying additional views of the images in the STAPPP pool.

Please ask all your contacts to join and post a portrait. Although you can only have one picture in the pool at a time you are encourage to change that picture as often as you like.

Our goal is to get 100 000 names on the petition. Can we get 100 000 pictures by 100 000 photographers into the STAPPP pool too! Lets try.
