About Save Pentney

Pentney, a beautiful Norfolk village, is under threat.
The village is an unfortunate victim of it's own geology and geography, as it sits on top of a rich seam of sand and gravel deposited many many years ago by the river Nar.
Now, mineral extraction companies want to move in and quarry that sand and gravel, in the process ripping the very heart out of the village we know, love and call home

This group exists for anyone who feels outraged by this.
We are fighting the proposals, and will continue to fight, even if it means lying down in the mud in front of the big yellow diggers.
However, in case we should lose the fight, it would be nice to compile a photographic collection of how Pentney looked before it was dug up and discarded like an unwanted weed.
A picture library for posterity, that will allow future generations to look back and see what a beautiful place Pentney once was.
