so... would you say the gnome is pieced in roughly the same order as Sonja's paper pieced pattern--only not attached to paper? : )

molly - yes! but i make the triangle body/head part, then add background to that (like a triangle roof and background pieces on either side) then i make the legs and background and add them to the body part like you do with the girl. if you look at the last gnome (orange one) you can see how i pieced it.

I saw gnomeo and juliet with my son. While I had fun with a date with just one child...the movie was pretty dreadful. Wait until is comes to netflix.

I just free pieced the mushroom house and added a little surprise as requested by my darling daughter. I am so proud of my self for being able to free this. because I love to paper piece bu this is just so much easier and "liberating". hehe
