About Fort Lauderdale Santa Con, Santarchy
There are TWO routes for 2010, Santas who put on the last few years including the Super South FL Burning Man Community and Expand the Love will be on and are hosting the route below. If you look at the facebook invite or santacon.info/Fort_Lauderdale-FL/ there is a link to the alternate route which is sticking to Fort Lauderdale Beach area (the two groups are planning to meet up and sing carols at some point along the way!!)

We are meeting up at the Briny Irish pub RIVERFRONT downtown Fort Lauderdale between 5-7PM and then we'll make our way around fort lauderdale! there's a second meet up for late coming Santas at Beirbrunen between 8:30 -9:30

What The Ho?
Every December for the last 15 years, Cacophonous Santas have been visiting cities around the world, engaging in a bit of Santarchy as part of the annual Santacon events.
It all started back in 1994 when several dozen Cheap Suit Santas paid a visit to downtown San Francisco for a night of Kringle Kaos. Things have reached Critical Xmas and Santarchy is now a global phenomenon.You'd better watch out!
Santa's coming to town! Santarchy takes place in major cities all over the world involving tens of thousands of Santas. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-sensical celebration of holiday cheer, goodwill, and fun.
Brief summary: BUNCHES of Santas (elves, reindeer, snowmen and women, Mrs Claus, Hanuka Harry,xmas trees ETC) get together and take over the streets for a night of fun, drinking, singing, dancing, gift giving and mischief.
*we'll also be collecting donations for Toys For Tots at the meet up spot so bring an unwrapped unopened toy if you can!*
