About San Jose Vintage Signage (Please see examples!)
A group dedicated to unique and "vintage" signage in it's original form from San Jose, California and all it's environs. By "vintage" I mean nothing newer than about 1980.
We want signs with character, signs that give us some insight into the history of an establishment, or signs that stand out. Neon, illuminated, painted, give us whatever you got.
WHAT NOT TO POST: Any signage that has been altered from it's original state. Remodeled signage is fine, as long as it retains it's original form and wording. Please see examples below:
Example of what you can post:
Great unique sign. Retains it's original form and lettering. Has not been altered in anyway.
Example of what not to post:
Even though it's a wonderful sign, it's obviously been reworked and it does not contain it's original title. Also note the hodgepodge of fonts from various decades.
