About The Wonder of Salt

Photographs which represent the wonders of salt, to be celebrated as gifts from god for us to use wisely.

This group of images is inspired by the Bishop of Birkenhead, who has established a Salt of the Earth network in Cheshire England to celebrate the gift of salt and chemicals to this area of England. It is open to all who benefit from, study the history of salt, use it in cooking, or as an art form or who might be part of the salt and chemicals industry that is derived from salt.

The Salt of the Earth Network organised its first Salt Sunday in 2009 at the historic Lion Salt Works, Northwich and the 2nd Salt Sunday on 10 October 2010 at British Salt and St Michaels church, Middlewich.

We will post pictures of our events but it is primarily for group members to share images about salt and chemicals from their own viewpoint.

To those new to Flickr I beleive you have to upload 5 photos to your photostream before you can upload to a group.
