Originally operated by Norwegian America Line, she was acquired by Cunard in 1983 and continued until 1996, when she was chartered as "Gripsholm" for a year before transferring to Saga Cruises as "Saga Rose" in 1997.
She spent her entire 44-year life doing what she was designed for - luxury cruising.
Sadly, she was finally withdrawn in October 2009 and in 2010 she was sent to the breakers in China and is gone forever. Sadly missed, she is not forgotten.
