26 Nov 09 - Sad bokeh friday: the perfect group for those autumnal, wintry, kind of sad, rather melancholic shots. Or, indeed, any kind of shot at all, so long as the bokeh is there. Somewhere. Anywhere.

There was this little desaturated beauty from Nancee_art:

And then {tru} had two - two! - that I could have picked. But I went with this one which made me say words that Saturday morning kids' tv would frown upon. Things like 'criminny!'.

What is sad bokeh friday? (apart from a rather messy homepage)
A place for all those slightly sad, somewhat sorrowful, mostly melancholic photos with plenty of bitchin' bokeh. Somewhere to put your non-happy, non-Wednesday, definitely Friday pictures which have their own way of speaking to the world.

Melancholy is "the profane ground out of which springs the sacred.... Sadness is not aberrant or unseemly or weakness but instead a call to interior depths, to cauldrons out of which will bubble new solutions, crimson and sweet and unforgettable."

It's this:
even in an eden such as this, wrongs can occur

and this:
sad bokeh friday

and this:
air like bokeh

and this:
beautiful blue bokeh balloon

and this:
sbf shivers

We start on Friday. We finish on Friday. And we want all your bokehful photos which are a bit sad, a tad melancholy, an ounce sorrowful.

What makes a photo sbf-worthy? Is there something mournful, blue, bleak, sad, desolate, forlorn, heartbroken, lovelorn, melancholic, rueful, solemn, sombre, subdued, sullen, tragic, or woebegone in it? Then throw it in the pool. As long as there's bokeh too, of course.
