About Sacramento Zoo
Show Us Your Best Shot
We are specifically looking for photographs of the animal collection found at the Sacramento Zoo in California. On a smaller scale, we also welcome some photographs of interesting signs found within the zoo, and photographs of some buildings (such as the zoo entrance, Reptile House, and etc.). But our main focus is on the animals.
* Wild birds and squirrels found on zoo grounds do not fit into this category unless they have tiptoed into an animal enclosure and are interacting with a caged animal.
Videos--We welcome this new Flickr feature and encourage members to add their clips of animals on display at the Sacramento Zoo.
People
Posed people/family shots do not fit into this category. People should be incidental to, rather than the focus of, the image. It may be difficult not to include a spectator during an animal show for instance.
* The exception to the rule would be official zoo handlers interacting closely with the animals during shows and walk-abouts.
Light photo correcting/filtering is acceptable. However, the image must retain a natural appearance and not appear overworked, harsh, or stark.
Note: HDR, DRI, or other heavy manipulations that renders an image to a degree that appears unnatural, is not acceptable for this group.

Black & White, Sepia Toned Images are permitted.
Creatively Colored Images are not permitted. However, there are many other groups on Flickr where these photos may be displayed.
Title, Caption, and Tags
Please clearly indicate where the photograph was taken in the title, caption, and/or tags along with anything else that may be of interest to the viewer. Write clear and accurate tags. Tag spamming is not permitted.

Images that are not relevant to the Group will be subject to removal. Please do not resubmit them. Instead forward private inquiries or questions to the Administrator via Flickr mail.
This is a family friendly group. Therefore your Photostream must be rated "Safe" by Flickr to join. Nudity, semi-nudity, or sensationalism of any kind is not permitted.
The Group Guidelines are subject to revision as deemed necessary by the images submitted to the pool. Please review them periodically.
