About Along the Sacramento River
We are specifically looking for scenic photographs of the Sacramento River, as well as, the many interesting things you may find along it's banks, trails, and paths. Photographs of bridges spanning the gap across the Sacramento River are especially encouraged.
* Images should also include a significant view of the Sacramento River.
People
Posed people/family/pet shots do not fit into this category.
People should be incidental to, rather than the focus of, the image unless they are doing something of great interest on the river--launching a launching a boat, fishing, or biking along the River for example . Random pedestrians crossing a bridge are permitted when the bridge itself is the subject.
Note: The bridge must span the Sacramento River
Sacramento
Random photographs taken in and of the City of Sacramento do not fit into this category. We are only interested in the Sacramento River and interesting sights found along it's immediate banks.
Other Things to Remember
Please clearly indicate where along the Sacramento River the photograph was taken in your description, along with anything else that may be of interest to the viewer.
Photographs should include a significant view of the Sacramento River, or a portion of the river if the focus is something of interest or beauty along it's banks.
Skyscapes (sun, moon, and/or clouds) do not fit into this category, unless the photo also includes a significant scenic portion of the Sacramento River as the focus of the image.
Silhouettes--If the only view of the of the river is in silhouette or deep shadow, it defeats the purpose of this group and the photo will be disallowed.
Daily Photo Limits
There is currently no restriction to the number of photos you may add in any given day. However, please do not add more than 3-4 images to the pool at-one-time. Add a few, take a break and allow other group members an opportunity to add their images to the pool. Then you may add a few more.
Light photo correcting/filtering is acceptable to achieve scenic/postcard-like appeal. However, the image must retain a natural appearance and not appear overworked, harsh, or stark.
* Black & White and Sepia toned images do not fit into this group.
* You may only submit photos you have personally taken and hold the copyright to
Images that are not relevant to the Group will be subject to removal. Please do not resubmit them. Instead forward private inquiries or questions to the Administrator via Flickr mail.
This is a family friendly group. Therefore your Photostream must be rated "Safe" by Flickr to join. Nudity, semi-nudity, or sensationalism of any kind is not permitted.
The Group Guidelines are subject to revision as deemed necessary by the images submitted to the pool. Please review them periodically.
