About South African Shops and Malls

This is a Project:

Next time you go shopping, take your camera.
Take pictures in and around the particular Shopping Centre or Mall, and post your pictures in this group. Pictures of corner shops, cafe's and spaza shops also welcome.

If you are confronted by a security guard in a Mall, and told that photography is prohibited, then it may be a good idea to stop taking photos in that particular mall, but that's up to you... Malls are private property, and the management of the Mall have the right to prohibit photography. Normally such Malls will post signs at the entrances stating "No Photography".

Use the discussion to tell us about your experience, good or bad. This way we will build up a record of which Shopping Centres and Malls in South Africa are photographer friendly, and which are not.
