About (The New) Ruthless Critiques - [1 Post Per Day]
Ruthless - Having or showing no pity or compassion for others.
Critique - A detailed analysis and assessment of something.
This group is not for you to get as many of your pictures seen as possible and get people to mark yours as favorites (that is what every other group on flickr is for). This is not a group for your worst pictures, and not a group for pictures that have been published, hung in a gallery, sold multiple copies etc.
Also, sorry to say but this group will focus on photography... digital manipulation IS allowed, but we are looking for real thought behind them, not straight drag and apply PS filters (I.E. cutouts, pastels, stained glass, etc.) I'm sorry, but that to me is a whole different beast, and you can go make your own group for it. (Please refer to the discussion post for more clarification as to what is allowed)
This is a group for trying out new work. Images you've created recently that could use some direction or feedback to help further your creative vision and thus make you a better photographer. That means there are rules
Rules:
1) One post per day. (If you want to show multiple versions of a shot please post them (or links to them) in the comments section under the image)
2) Critique peoples work as often as you can as honestly as you can.
3) Address the images and the motivation behind the pictures themselves not the photographers personal lives (no your mama jokes).
4) All critiques will take place in the regular comments and not amongst the discussions. If you dont feel comfortable having honest critiques being posted with all your warm fuzzy comments... this group is not for you.
5) I highly encourage posting projects, image series, and stories... To get the entire project critiqued post the lead off image into the pool and provide a link to a set.
The rules are here to get each and every one of the members a fair chance at getting a critique and not letting this group become overrun by flooding.
If you think someone is abusing the rules, please notify an administrator.
