13 Jul 07 - 'FOR THE DROVER'S life has pleasures that the townsfolk never know.' (A.B 'Banjo' Paterson).

This famous poem, published in 1889, paints a romantic picture of droving and for me inspirers images of the outback and rural life. The photos held in this group in many ways portray all aspects of rural life and bring to light the wonders of living in the outback.

About Rural Australia

This group intends to explore the vast and vivid culture of the Australian outback, with an emphasis on rural life. It aims to explore everything from the rich landscapes, to the beauty and variety of colours and textures so often overlooked, and in particular, the people, places and events that capture the essence of rural life. These photographs are a collection, a showcase of the beauty and often harsh and unforgiving life of the Australian bush.

Kind Regards,
Linda
