About The Rugged Intellectual

The Rugged Intellectual seeks out photographers who posses a discerning eye to their photographic vision. As the above quote suggest, it may be themed on nature but not necessarily. It may also be a captivating portrait, mystical vision, discarded treasure, man-made structures, and otherwise sublime in every day reality. Essentially the subject can be person, place, or thing.
Images should be close to the original shot as possible (no photo montage or manipulation that turns a photo into an photo-illustration.) Digital or film photos can be converted to b/w or toned monochrome, color and contrast enhancement within reason. Please consider the fine art value of the image.
Any photo that does not meet the high quality standard of this group will not be accepted.
Otherwise, allow your creative eye to roam for things that express themselves in curious light.
